“Real jobs, in real workplaces, with real responsibilities.” – Anna Whiteley, Salesforce Consultant

Today is A Level Results Day 2022 and we’d like to wish all students the best of luck! As well as celebrating your amazing achievements, we understand this can be a daunting day, with lots of important decisions to be made regarding the future. This doesn’t have to be such a stressful time though!

After A Levels, many choose university education to work towards a degree in a particular topic of interest. As well as equipping you with the tools to begin a career in an industry of choice, the university experience provides much more than just the academic aspect – the social and life experiences.

However, at Art of Cloud, we recognise, encourage, and provide alternative career paths for young people to take, enabling successful routes into their chosen field.

For example, Anna Whiteley has recently completed a unique Level 4 Salesforce Consultant Apprenticeship Programme with LDN Apprenticeships and Art of Cloud, whilst based within our Service Team. This opportunity provided Anna with the answer she was looking for when struggling to find a university course that inspired her, but in keeping with her desire to learn about and enter the business tech industry.

Anna’s apprenticeship includes a mixture of real on-the-job work experience, as well as an additional 20% external learning through Zoom workshops and monthly one-to-one coaching sessions.

Reflecting on her experience, Anna explains;

“I spent everyday learning from those in the know, learning from experience on and off the job and getting a qualification in the process. This means I developed the skills needed by my employer to progress in my career.

When asked her favourite part of the programme in comparison to the traditional university experience, Anna summarised;
“It’s all with no student loans, no tuition fees, and, most importantly, no debt!”

Following the completion of Anna’s apprenticeship, new addition to the Art of Cloud team, Samantha Lawn is set to begin her Salesforce Apprenticeship journey.

As well as formal Salesforce Apprenticeships, Art of Cloud also offers more casual work experience opportunities, for those to test whether different areas of the business are a good career fit for them. For example, recent University of Huddersfield English Language graduate, Emily Gamble, has recently conducted some work experience in the Marketing

So, from everyone here at Art of Cloud, a massive well done to all those this A Level Results Day and good luck in your future endeavours!

And remember, try not to stress too much –there are many more opportunities out there than you think!
